Following our first regional funding application process since unifying in 2024, United Way Maritimes is investing more than $8 million in operational and program funding into 136 unique organizations in 2026 and 2027, across all seven Maritime offices. This ensures that funding is reaching local organizations and directly responding to the unique needs of the communities they serve.

In Pictou County that looks like investing $390,000 into these 16 organizations:

  • CHAD Transit
  • Highland Community Residential Services (HCRS)
  • John Howard Society of Nova Scotia

  • Pictou County Women's Resource and Sexual Assault Centre

  • Tearmann Society for Abused Women
